Episode three of our UK Genesis podcast series welcomes Barbara Saul as the guest. Here’s her self-penned introduction:
I started website design back in 1999 and found my way to using WordPress for websites as well as blogs by 2008. I’ve always been keen to keep things as simple and accessible as possible for small business owners who are too often paying way over the odds for things they are perfectly capable of doing themselves. I like to cut through the nonsense and make things easier for people.
I’ve worked with most of the main premium themes but settled with StudioPress Genesis as a result of their ongoing support and development to meet latest needs – making most of their themes responsive was what really nailed it for me. I’d love to develop themes but really don’t have time, juggling a couple of feisty teens and a disability issue (the reason I stopped IT support work all those years ago – bought a laptop and Dreamweaver and taught myself web design).
Along the way I have especially enjoyed helping people to work out what might work best for them, on the Internet. There is too much BS about such things and that makes me cross.
So I share that side of things on BarbaraSaul.com and the WordPress work via the Blogmistress.com, where I want to get back to blogging helpful posts for WordPress users.
