Dave Dean has been building websites and helping businesses succeed online for more than half his life. Originally schooled in Graphic Design his tech tendencies led him down the path of web development. These skills were further rounded out by eight years working in the marketing department of a national drinks manufacturer where he got to work with some of the world’s biggest brands including Nestlé, Unilever, Mars and Coca Cola. He eventually left to found Moortor Web.
With a young family and full-time mum for a partner, Dave’s aim is to maintain a diversified income that can smooth out the bumps traditionally associated with freelancing.
Currently Dave works in-house for a fast growing print company, consults for a number of SMEs, works as a traditional freelancer, is experimenting with a productised service model and has a personal brand in WP Musketeer, from which he blogs and is beginning to market software products including the Musket starter theme and workflow framework.
He loves climbing, trekking, running and the outdoors in general. But he doesn’t get a lot of time for that anymore…
