Gavin Preece is the owner and director at Orangedrop Design based in the sunny Newport, South Wales. Gavin founded Orangedrop back in 2009 with the sole purpose of bridging a gap in the area for good and reliable web developers / graphic design services. The only two options that were open to businesses in the area were the “Bloke up the road that builds Websites” and the very high-end agencies. Orangedrop was setup in order to be the middle ground. Where businesses and SMEs could turn for a highly efficient service that would offer high-end quality service with a middle of the road pricing structure.
Gavin has been working with WordPress for several years and it’s definitely his platform of choice. 95% of all the sites produced by Orangedrop are built on the WordPress CMS with only a small overspill into the Adobe Business Catalyst system. Gavin has been working with the Genesis theme for approximately three years and prior to this utilised the Catalyst Framework for small builds and standalone themes for larger builds.
Orangedrop’s client base varies wildly and despite only being a small company we have delivered WordPress projects for some of the largest companies in the UK and beyond on behalf of much larger agencies based in the Wales, England and the US. Unfortunately for Orangedrop’s portfolio these projects are very often completed under the contracted agencies name with some firm NDA’s in place. Our day-to-day client base varies from one-man-bands right the way through to large SME type businesses in the UK, US and also Hong Kong.
Orangedrop regularly supports other agencies and developers with issues such as bug-fixing, repairing hacked sites and making theme amendments / adjustments / functionality where and when the client requirement is outside the ability of the contracting agency.Hangout Event
